With today’s technology, there are lots of resources to help you quit smoking. With one of these top quit smoking app, you could hold the key to regaining your health on your smartphone.

This free app has a 4.5-star rating on the iTunes store. In its description, it states that it has “over 20 different, evidence-based, techniques to help you become – and stay – smoke-free.” It has a clean interface where it shows you things like how much money you’ve saved, how many hours of your life you’ve regained, and things like how your breathing and circulation have improved. Some of the reviews mention how they like the diary feature and congratulatory gifs they receive when they hit a milestone.

LIVESTRONG MyQuit Coach

This app allows you to set goals and adjust preferences based on your needs, turning it into more of a coach than just an app. It also has a 4.5-star rating on iTunes. It also has a forum where you can get support and join a community of others trying to quit. Some of the reviewers mention how participating in the forum daily is how they get through their cravings.

This app has a 4.5-star rating on iTunes. After you enter some details, it helps to keep you on track by providing real-time motivators like how much you’re increasing your life expectancy. It also reminds you of all the negatives that happen when you smoke, like “Smoking causes tooth loss.” Reviewers say that looking at the app and seeing their progress when they had a craving gave them the strength to stay smoke-free.

The free online community that comes with this app is the main selling point, as reviewers have compared it to “having a pocket full of people cheering for you and lifting you up when you’re down.” It also lists the number of deaths that have occurred from smoking since you decided to quit, as well as money saved and cigarettes not smoked. A clear graph of circulation, lung health, and risk of tooth loss will let you keep track of how your health is improving while you stay away from cigarettes.

Hypnosis has been proven as an effective way to stop smoking, and this app goes this route. Andrew Johnson is a clinical hypnotherapist with a range of best-selling self-help CDs which have helped people all over the world. Much different from the tracking apps I listed above, this one is something you listen to when you have about a half hour to devote to the hypnosis. The app’s description claims that it’s easy, relaxing, as it increases your motivation, boosts your confidence and maximizes your willpower to quit.
